Old Pulteney 15YO

Established in 1826, The Pulteney Distillery is found in the heart of 'Pulteneytown', the town created to house fishermen during Wick’s 'herring boom'. The most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland, the spirit crafted here is a distillation of this unique location. In the distillery itself, the wash still is extremely unusual in that it is without a swan neck – supposedly the result of emergency surgery after it was discovered that the still was too tall for the building in which it was to be housed. The Old Pulteney bottle now incorporates a bulbous neck to reflect the shape of the stills.

Balancing two different sides of the flavor spectrum, this single malt marries these perfectly, whilst also reflecting our coastal home and its unwavering influence. Spice and sweetness unite in this naturally rich amber whisky to celebrate rich flavors, yet lighter, more refreshing coastal notes show another side of this single malt.
