Pauillac de Château Latour

This wine has been made every year since 1989. Generous, fruity wine is an excellent introduction to the family of wines produced by Chateau Latour. The wine is made primarily from young vines, growing on the less prestigious terroirs in the vineyard, and from wines that do not meet the selection criteria for Forts de Latour. 

Pauillac de Château Latour is a huge overachiever and shows just how compelling this vintage is. The aromatics alone are beguiling, but it is the wine's impeccable balance and class that are most impressive today. Hints of leather, earthiness, tobacco, licorice and dark cherry are nicely layered into the silky finish. The vintage produced an absolutely delicious wine to drink now and over the next decade or so.
