Pieropan is an Italian estate in the northeastern wine-producing region of Veneto. For generations the estate has dedicated itself to the making of Soave Classico wines, for which is it considerably famous. The company can trace its origins back to the late 19th Century and the village of Soave. Leonildo Pieropan established the estate at Palazzo Pullici and since then successive generations of the Pieropan family have taken on the responsibilities of the estate and its three organically farmed vineyards: Calvarino, La Rocca and Garzon.
La Rocca single-vineyard is situated on the slopes of Monte Rocchetta, behind the Medieval Castle which dominates the town of Soave. The vineyard benefits from a special microclimate which makes it possible to obtain a wine with a great personality, and a unique and unrepeatable bouquet. Innovative since it’s first release in 1978, it has made its mark in the area, becoming an undisputed symbol of quality and tradition.
Intense straw yellow color, with golden nuances. Characterful wine. On the nose, reminiscent of exotic fruit, yellow peach and dry apricot, nuts and
almond, sweet spices such as saffron, cinnamon, ginger powder, white pepper, honey and a light balsamic note. Warm, elegant, smooth and persistent on the palate.
