Carobbio was founded in the fifteenth century, owned by the Magaldi, a family of Florentine merchants. In 1479 Carobbio was entrusted to Antonmaria Gherardini, the father of Lisa, the famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. Located in the Conca d'Oro of Panzano in Chianti, halfway between Florence and Siena, in the center of a natural amphitheater, Carobbio extends for approximately fifty hectares.

This white wine is made from 100% Pinot Bianco grapes grown in the hills of Panzano in Chianti within the Tuscany region. Aged for about 4–6 months in French oak barriques, which adds subtle complexity and texture while maintaining the grape’s natural elegance and freshness.

It shows a bright straw-yellow color with delicate golden hints. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe apple, pear, and white flowers, with light notes of hazelnut and vanilla from the oak ageing. On the palate it is fresh, balanced, and smooth, with lively acidity and a clean, persistent finish that makes it ideal with seafood and light dishes.
