Garofoli is one of the oldest family-run wineries in Italy, founded in 1871 in the Marche region by the Garofoli family, who still manage it today across multiple generations. Based in the heart of the Castelli di Jesi. Garofoli combines deep tradition with modern winemaking techniques, producing a wide range of wines from both Verdicchio and Montepulciano, and is widely regarded as a benchmark producer in the Marche for quality, consistency, and long-lived white wines.
Podium is produced from 100% Verdicchio grapes sourced from selected hillside vineyards in the Castelli di Jesi area. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve aromatic precision and varietal purity. The wine is then aged with extended time on fine lees.
Refined and expressive aromatic profile, with notes of citrus peel, green apple, and white peach layered with floral hints and a characteristic almond nuance. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied with vibrant acidity and a pronounced mineral backbone. The lees aging contributes subtle creaminess and depth, while flavors of lemon zest, herbs, and a slight saline edge carry through to a long, elegant finish marked by freshness and precision.
