Porseleinberg Shiraz

Porseleinberg is a South African wine producer, located in the Porseleinberg mountain range of the Swartland wine region. It was founded by Marc Kent, winemaker of the historic Boekenhoutskloof wine estate. Porseleinberg was founded in 2009 upon the purchase of a 70 hectare (173 acre) vineyard. Kent promptly replanted the estate to Syrah and Grenache with the assistance of viticulturist Callie Louw.

On the nose, dark and black fruit. The normal pure edgy tannin seems a bit more relaxed. Very good mid palate weight with more fruit than spice. Long sweet fruited finish. Very good indication of the growing conditions and the vintage which will definitely evolve very well with time in bottle.
