The Philippe Girard estate is located on a beautiful property in the heart of Savigny-les-Beaune, a beautiful village near Beaune. The estate currently cultivates 22 hectares (60% red, 40% white). The vines extend across 14 communes. The Domaine team places great importance on working the vines while respecting traditions and the terroir.
Concentration and exceptional pedigree define the Puligny-Montrachet appellation. Perfectly balanced, it offers great aromatic complexity combined with a refined style. Body and bouquet blend in subtle harmony: all the graces beneath an unyielding character and remarkable concentration. Alcoholic fermentation in vats for 8 to 10 days; aging for 8 to 10 months in oak barrels with 20% new barrels.
Vine age: 60 years.
A radiant golden wine with subtle green reflections, it opens with elegant aromas of hawthorn, almond paste, hazelnut, and a touch of amber. On the palate, it is silky and generous, revealing lactic notes reminiscent of butter and warm croissant, balanced by a fine mineral tension and a lingering finish of delicate honey.
