Quinta da Côrte lies in the heart of the Douro Valley’s “golden triangle” in the Cima-Corgo sub-region, where steep, terraced vineyards cling to the region’s distinctive schist slopes. With vine plantings dating back to 1814, some over a century old, the estate embodies the deep heritage of Douro winemaking. Its wines are crafted using traditional methods such as foot-treading in granite lagares, preserving authenticity and a true sense of place. Gold in color, with mahogany reflections, this high-class Tawny immediately seduces with the complexity of its aromas: a heady mix of currants, licorice, cinnamon, candied citrus peel, coffee, cashew, caramel, walnut … and more. The palate is soft and harmonious, with a fine width which develops in an equally complex fashion. Fresh, flavorsome and well-balanced, it progresses to a long, rich and well-defined finish.
