Quinta da Côrte lies in the heart of the Douro Valley’s “golden triangle” in the Cima-Corgo sub-region, where steep, terraced vineyards cling to the region’s distinctive schist slopes. With vine plantings dating back to 1814, some over a century old, the estate embodies the deep heritage of Douro winemaking. Its wines are crafted using traditional methods such as foot-treading in granite lagares, preserving authenticity and a true sense of place. Each bottle reflects the character, history, and timeless craftsmanship of this remarkable terroir.

Deep garnet color with purple hues. Vibrant aromas of gooseberry, blackberry, raspberry puree, cocoa, tobacco, pepper and cardamom. This first impression is confirmed by a plump, mouth-filling attack which presents itself with an intense opening salvo. The mouth is rich, velvety and sensual. Notes of woodland berries and spices on a lively backdrop create a well-balanced and harmonious ensemble. The finish is long and meaty, with well-integrated tannins which hold the promise of great keeping qualities.

Still young, it will gain in complexity over the coming years.
