Redbreast is a range of award-winning Irish single pot still whiskeys. They are produced by the Midleton distillery in County Cork, in the south of the Republic of Ireland. One of the most decorated Irish whiskeys, Redbreast is the largest selling Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey in the world. Regarded as the definitive expression of traditional Single Pot Still whiskey, the genesis of Redbreast dates back to 1903 when John Jameson & Son entered into an agreement with the Gilbeys Wines & Spirits Import Company to supply them with new make spirit from their Bow St. Distillery. The custom of that era was that distillers sold bulk whiskey to ‘bonders’ who, being in the business of importing fortified wines such as sherry and port, had ample supplies of empty casks in which to mature new make whiskeys under bond.

Redbreast 12 Year Old is an all-time Irish whiskey classic. It is well balanced, with complex spice aromas on the nose and sherry fruitiness to taste - this is due to the time spent maturing in Spanish Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks

A complex spicy and fruity aroma with toasted wood notes evident. Full flavored and complex; silky smooth with a harmonious balance of spicy, fruity, sherry and toasted notes. Satisfyingly long finish, the complex flavors linger on the palate.
