Guerrieri Rizzardi is a historic, family-owned winery in Italy’s Veneto region, formed in 1913 through the marriage of the Guerrieri and Rizzardi families, whose winemaking roots date back to the 17th century. Known for their commitment to estate-grown fruit, sustainable vineyard practices, and a balance of tradition and precision, Guerrieri Rizzardi crafts wines that express the distinctive terroirs of Lake Garda and the Valpolicella hills with elegance and authenticity.

Amarone represents a unique winemaking method that uses grapes grown in Valpolicella which, once harvested, are dried in boxes. Amarone wine has a high alcohol content thanks to the fermentation of sugar that derives from drying. From the 2019 vintage onwards Villa Rizzardi is officially a Riserva Amarone and will only be made in limited quantities in the better vintages.

Villa Rizzardi has an complex bouquet, with intense hints of macerated fruit, aromas of cedar and notes of licorice and eucalyptus, which evolve leaving room for aromas of ripe cherry and blond tobacco. On the palate it is fresh, harmonious, with unmistakable earthy notes and a very long finish. Wine with an excellent structure, it has a good tannic texture and a sweet note.
