With a sharp eye, natural instinct, and solid Burgundian pragmatism, Roland Lavantureux made a name for himself crafting no-nonsense Chablis. Upon his completion of wine school in Beaune, Roland founded the domaine in 1978 in the town of Lignorelles, about four miles northwest of Chablis. Roland Lavantureux create intense Chablis with richness and complexity to enhance the natural minerality of soil.
Bougros microclimate lies at the very western end of the Grands Crus area, at altitudes ranging from 130 to 170 m on fairly deep marl and clay terrain with a southwest exposure. On the palate, this appellation’s wines are often very full and rich.
Straw yellow with golden reflections. It has a fine and very intense bouquet with floral and fruity notes, citrus and yellow fruit, followed by herbaceous and mineral hints. In the mouth it is full-bodied but not heavy, thanks to the excellent balance of softness and hardness, which make it harmonious and very drinkable. Persistent and balanced finish.
