Samaroli Orkney Highland 2009

Samaroli is an Italian independent bottling company, with a focus on bottling exceptional Scotch whisky and Caribbean rums; Samaroli does not own any distilleries. The company was founded by the late Silvano Samaroli in Rome in 1968. Samaroli holds the belief that independent bottlers should add their own value, and they ensure this through re-casking their whisky into virgin oak casks to add individuality. The striking artistry of their labels is iconic, straying far from traditional whisky labels.

Distilled in 2009 bottled in 2020. An island immersed in a storm is the image that perfume brings to mind when we approach the nose to this spirit and you can find a cocktail of flowers and iodine, the one that arises from the salt deposited by the wind on the Meadows by the North Sea, or the Sea of Norway. It blends hints of Heather and powdery, loose powder with brackish and seaweed notes.
