San Clemente Montepulciano D’Abruzzo

Established in 1978, the ‘Azienda Agricol Ciccio Zaccagnini’ estate began as a small family vineyard producing a mere 1,000 bottles a year. Today, the estate stretches 500 acres alongside the Rome-Pescara highway, located in Bolognano in the providence of Pescara. Zaccagnini's wines are accepted and praised in the world market. Wine Spectator Magazine awarded them with the highest point rating ever given to a Montepulciano; 94 points to their 1997 San Clemente Montepulciano.

Deep ruby red color with violet hues. The aromatic panorama is broad, with immediate floral aromas of roses and fruity aromas of wild berries (especially blueberry jam), followed by spicy notes of liquorice, cumin, white pepper and mineral notes of graphite. The taste is distinctly textural and voluminous, even if dynamic and with a taste rhythm dictated by vital tannins and vibrant freshness.
