Cradled in the heart of the sweet rolling Tuscan hills in Montepulciano, La Ciarliana embodies a lifelong dream. Named after an intimate and deeply suggestive chapel nestled in the vineyards surrounding the estate, whose bell tower has inspired the family run winery’s logo, it preserves the long ancient wine making tradition that in Montepulciano dates back till the Etruscan eve. A history of earnest authenticity, skillful know how, care and respect for the nature. Love for the quality and for this unique soil.
The Santo Pellegrino cuvée is a top-of-the-range cuvée, made with a majority of international grape varieties from which the Syrah emerges with its aromas of spices and violets, energized by the structure of Cabernet-Sauvignon, the roundness of Merlot and the elegance of the Sangiovese. The wine ages 24 months before being put on the market, including 12 months in French barrels. A pearl not to be missed, created with the same concern as the other vintages of the estate, also recognized by the international specialized press.
Santo Pellegrino, offers a rich complexity, velvety tannins, embellished with flavors of cassis, cocoa powder, spice, violets and blond tobacco on the finish.
This cuvée is only produced in exceptional years. Wine can improve in the cellar for 15 to 25 years.
