Scapegrace Gold

Scapegrace Gin is distilled in a 19th century John Dore whisky still just outside of the North Island’s biggest city. It’s distilled at the foothills of the New Zealand Southern Alps using 12 botanicals and a whisky still for distillation from the 19th century, stumbled upon in a long abandoned shed. It comes presented in a rather striking bottle inspired by an antique genever bottle - a little nod to the spirit's long and storied history.

Rounded and nutty - the mixture of nutmeg spiciness and clove earthiness give it an almost coffee feel. Fresh orange is in the mix too. Cassia and orris take centre stage, joined by lime, juniper and fennel in support. A core of spicy coriander. Orris once again and angelica last for a floral finish.
