Founded in 1692, Taylor’s is one of the oldest Port Houses in the Douro Valley. An independent family business, dedicated exclusively to the production of Port, it is considered the benchmark for Vintage Ports worldwide. Sourced from the steep Quintas Vargellas, Terra Feita and Junco, these vintage Ports are distinguished by their elegance and balance as well as their power and longevity. Taylor’s also has large reserves of wood-matured Port, from which they create wonderful Old Tawnies, including this legendary Single Vintage Tawny from 1863. Last but not least, Taylor’s was the creator of the ever-successful Late Bottled Vintage and remains the leading producer of that style of Port to this day.

This unique limited edition port from 1863 matured for 155 years in oak barrels. About 1,400 bottles of Scion has been released, packaged in a specially designed decanter and wooden box based on a 19th century instrument case.

Rich, dark aroma of figs, roasted coffee, cigar leaf, black pepper and cedar. On the palate it is complemented by aromas of nuts, a lively acidity and an endless finish.
