Manoir du Capucin is a family-run wine estate in the Mâconnais subregion of southern Burgundy, tracing roots back to the early 20th century. It is known for producing elegant white wines that express the limestone-rich terroirs of appellations such as Pouilly-Fuissé. The domaine is recognized for combining traditional Burgundian craftsmanship with sustainable vineyard practices.
Produced from a blend of multiple parcels to express the typicity of the grape and terroir. The vineyards are planted on clay-limestone soils and farmed with a sustainable approach. Grapes are carefully handled, followed by temperature-controlled vinification and around 12 months of ageing mainly in stainless steel on fine lees to preserve freshness and aromatic purity.
The wine shows a bright green-yellow color and an expressive nose combining ripe orchard fruit (mirabelle, pear), candied citrus, and subtle spice layered with hints of honey, and light oak nuances. On the palate it is structured yet fresh, with a firm, slightly tense attack leading into a rounded, “suave” mid-palate, supported by fine minerality and a saline edge. The finish is persistent, with lingering notes of stone fruit and a touch of licorice, balancing richness with vibrancy.
