Distilleria Sibona is one of the oldest and most respected grappa producers in Piedmont, Italy, founded over a century ago in the Roero area near Alba. The distillery is especially known for holding the historic distillation license No. 1 issued by the Italian authorities, a symbol of its prestige and long tradition. Sibona specializes in artisanal single-varietal grappas made from fresh pomace of top Piedmont grapes using careful steam distillation and long barrel aging.

Grappa di Barolo is a classic expression made from Nebbiolo grape pomace sourced from the Barolo wine region in Piedmont, designed to showcase the variety’s structure in a more immediate, less heavily aged style than the Riserva versions.

The nose is elegant and vinous, with notes of rose petals, cherry, red berries, light vanilla, spice, and subtle toasted oak. On the palate it is dry, smooth, and well-balanced, showing flavors of ripe red fruit, almond, gentle spice, and soft wood, supported by a clean, slightly warming structure.
