Grappa Riserva Rum Cask

Distilleria Sibona is one of the oldest and most respected grappa producers in Piedmont, Italy, founded over a century ago in the Roero area near Alba. The distillery is especially known for holding the historic distillation license No. 1 issued by the Italian authorities, a symbol of its prestige and long tradition. Sibona specializes in artisanal single-varietal grappas made from fresh pomace of top Piedmont grapes using careful steam distillation and long barrel aging.

Grappa Riserva Rum Cask is a distinctive aged grappa that combines Piedmontese distillation tradition with tropical-influenced barrel finishing. It is produced from selected grape pomace and first matured for an extended period in stainless steel, followed by ageing in oak barrels before a final finish in rum casks, which impart its signature aromatic twist.

In the glass it shows a warm amber color and an inviting, exotic aromatic profile with notes of vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, dried tropical fruits, and toasted oak, layered with subtle hints of spice and grape must. On the palate it is smooth, rounded, and slightly sweeter in impression than classic grappa, with flavors of toffee, banana, raisin, cocoa, and soft spice blending with the underlying grape distillate character.
