Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a Sicilian wine estate that cultivates vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna. It is known for its high average vine age, including pre-phylloxera vines from which it makes exclusively DOC Etna wines. Tenuta delle Terre Nere is the result of over forty years of passion and work in the world of fine wines. The estate is located on the northern slopes of Etna, within the hilly belt that extends between Solicchiata and Randazzo, historically the area historically recognized as the finest in the appellation for fine red wines. The estate consists of approximately 45 hectares divided into 29 plots and in nine Contradas (Crus).
Feudo di Mezzo is perhaps the largest Contrada of the Etna DOC: homogeneous in character, but with evident qualitative variations. Always the first vineyard to be harvested, it also always gives us the most open, generous and smooth wine.
The nose releases a bouquet of captivating intensity on notes of cherry, dog rose and currant, medicinal herbs and elegant sweet spiciness. Closes by recalling the spices and bitter orange peel.
