The GlenAllachie 10yrs Batch 7

One of Scotland’s few independently owned and managed distilleries, The GlenAllachie is led by industry veteran, Billy Walker, who boasts an astonishing 50-year tenure in whisky. Nestled at the foot of Ben Rinnes, the distillery lies at the heart of the Speyside, with a focus upon quality over quantity. 

This expression was matured in Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximenez puncheons, as well as a few virgin oak and Rioja casks, before being married together to create this sweet single malt. The expression was bottled at 57.8% abv and it is free from artificial coloring and chill filtration.

The nose is full of walnut, dark chocolate, juicy cherry, and dried orange peel. The palate brings flavors of honey, liquorice, sugared almonds, and cinnamon before leading into a long finish with lingering hints of citrus.
