The Macallan a Night on Earth Jerez

Located on a 390-acre estate in the Scottish Highlands near Craigellachie, The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 and was one of the first Scottish distilleries to be legally licensed. Macallan has built its enviable reputation by focusing on quality. It is one of the most sought-after whiskies for collectors. The Macallan invests a lot of time and effort into sourcing and making casks, so much so that it is the only Scotch distiller with a dedicated Master of Wood: Stuart MacPherson.

The third release in the ''A Night on Earth'' series celebrates the universal night to celebrate the end of the year, a time for togetherness to reflect on what has passed, and to toast what is to come. In celebration of Macallan's 200 year anniversary they have gone to Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, where their exceptional oak casks are seasoned with sherry wine. Created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, the single malt Scotch whisky is a unique expression using a perfectly balanced combination of exceptional European and American sherry seasoned oak casks and inspired by the year end traditions in the home of Sherry wine.

With a deep amber color and an aroma reminiscent of dried fruit, dark chocolate and spices, this whiskey is a true sensory experience. The palate is complex and full-bodied with notes of sherry, raisins and caramel, balanced with spices and oak, giving a long and satisfying finish.
