Vasse Felix is a notable wine producer in the Margaret River region on Australia's west coast. One of the great wine regions of the world, Margaret River enjoys a truly unique environment and climate which makes it a paradise for winemakers and wine lovers alike.  The estate was established in 1967 by Dr Thomas Cullity, and the first vintage was in 1971. This was not a great success for Vasse Felix – the fruit had been attacked by birds in the weeks leading up to harvest. A falcon was employed to scare the birds away, but this also proved unsuccessful as upon release, it promptly flew away. Happily, changes in the vineyards have meant success for later vintages, and the falcon is now immortalized on Vasse Felix labels, and has become the symbol of the estate.

One of Vasse Felix's icon wine is the Tom Cullity which is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant red wine. The wine is sourced from the best parcels in the vineyards and is aged in French oak for 18 months. The wine has great ageing potential.

A very bright garnet with a purple/black tint. Such an amazing energy with transparency of vineyard environment emanating via savory hints of native forest, red gravel and ocean spray, leaning to nori and a touch of mushroom. On the palate is elegant and succulent, yet with powerful structure and length. The immense, levitating body feels rich, but light - it’s miraculous. The tannins are fine, present, peripheral and incredibly long, with perfume so deep it lingers on and on.
