Asara is the story of the Rahmann family in South Africa. A modest wine farm bought in 2001 and a bold vision of developing its potential and sharing it with people who appreciate quality and good food & wine. Winery value craftsmanship and care. Defining luxury as having space and time, Asara is passionate to deliver an experience that reflects these values in an unpretentious way. The original wine farm dates back to 1691. With respecting the history of the place, Asara also embrace the future in developing it further. Name Asara in honor of the North African Gods of Earth, Sun and Sky – Astar, Asis, Asase – and to symbolize the balance and harmony of nature reflected in their wines.

Elegant, dry and florally layered in style, with well-integrated French oak. This wine exhibits a fresh green-gold hue in color. Sumptuous and enticing, flintiness on the nose is complimented by
delicious citrus aromas of lime and mandarin skin. Delicate peach blossom and jasmine flower notes develop in the glass. As the wine has not undergone Malolactic fermentation, the palate complimenting the French oak applied in the cellar, leading to a crisp, clean and lingering aftertaste.
