World’s End Crossfire

World's End is a Californian wine producer, known for high-quality Napa red wines. The label is an extension of the JCP Maltus/SCEA Château Teyssier group, whose key estate is Château Teyssier in Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux. World's End was started in 2008 by Jonathan Maltus, who had made a name for himself in Bordeaux as an early garagiste producer. Maltus had his Bordeaux winemakers – also consultants at Château Cheval Blanc – make the wines of World's End, which premiered to immediate critical success. World's End focuses on red wines predominantly from Bordeaux varieties, especially Cabernet Sauvignon, all produced in limited quantities.

The perfumes of Cabernet Sauvignon shine in this richly structured wine. Aromas of berries, leaves, liqueur, spice and savory come across clearly. A very expressive version of Cabernet purity with rounded, ripe tannins and good acidity. It has a long, mineral finish, great energy, drive and persistence. All in all this is a classy wine.
