Yeni Raki

Yeni Rakı is produced in Türkiye by Mey|Diageo, one of the country’s leading alcoholic beverage producers. The brand itself was officially launched in 1937 and has become one of the best-known names associated with traditional Turkish rakı. Mey|Diageo continues to produce Yeni Rakı alongside several other historic Turkish rakı brands, preserving a spirit tradition that dates back centuries.

Yeni Rakı is made from a balanced combination of fresh and dried Turkish grapes. These grapes are processed to produce suma, a grape-based distillate, which is then re-distilled with carefully selected aniseed in traditional copper stills. The finished spirit is bottled at 45% ABV and represents one of the classic expressions of Turkish rakı.

Yeni Rakı has a distinctive aromatic profile dominated by anise, supported by subtle notes of grape, herbs and gentle spice. The palate is smooth, dry and full-flavoured, with a pronounced liquorice-like anise character and a soft underlying fruitiness from the grape distillate. The finish is clean and persistent, leaving lingering notes of anise and spice.
