The winery owns ninety-five hectares of vineyards in Lugana and Valpolicella, where the soil is morainic and the climate is mild. The winery was founded by Sergio Zenato and his wife, Carla, in 1960. Zenato makes wines that exemplify the founder’s passion for the land and its history, respect for the environment and devotion to promoting the local grape varieties for half a century. Zenato has entered into international markets and received the highest accolades from the wine industry’s leading experts, praise that reflects the way in which the company operates on a daily basis. Today, Zenato continues to look to the future and invest in development projects based in the areas of Valpolicella and Lugana.
Made from Corvina Veronese, this single-vineyard designate wine is deeply connected to the land where it is grown.
Its intense, deep ruby red color tinges the glass as its thick, lingering legs slide down the edges. On the nose, it delivers a spectrum of delicious and enchanting red fruit, blueberry, and blackberry notes that evolve into intense aromas of black cherry, cooked prune, and jam.
