Since 1743 when it was founded, Moët & Chandon has been passing down unequaled winemaking savoir-faire and an innovative and pioneering spirit from generation to generation. Claude Moët, its founder, was the first person to embody these values when he made his Champagne the most sought-after in Europe. With his grandson, Jean Remy Moët, a pioneering and visionary mind, Moët & Chandon became a major international champagne brand. This saga quickly transformed the family House into a worldwide symbol of success.
Every Grand Vintage is unique and original, the Cellar Master’s free, personal interpretation in service of revealing the exceptional personality of singular vintage years.
Deep rose color with hints of topaz. Initial notes evoke scents of picking ripe berries under the summer sun: forest berries, wild strawberry, raspberry and currant rounded out with floral, botanical nuances of rhubarb and violet. The palate evokes joy, calling to mind a carnival with its twirling rides and children laughing over displays of sweets: marshmallows, hard candy, cotton candy and caramel apples. Then come notes of nutmeg, dried fig and black cherry. The Pinot Noir expresses itself with a light, airy elegance, a soft, gentle texture and a finish.
