Johnnie Walker, founded in 1820 by John Walker in Kilmarnock, Scotland, has grown from a humble grocer’s shop into the world’s number-one Scotch whisky brand, enjoyed in over 180 countries, thanks to its iconic square bottle, Striding Man logo, and six generations of master blenders dedicated to bold flavour and quality.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Cities of the Future – Mexico City 2220 is part of the limited Cities of the Future collection, created in collaboration with digital artist Luke Halls. The release imagines what major global cities might look like 200 years in the future, with Mexico City 2220 depicting a vision where advanced technology coexists with nature and the city’s cultural heritage.
On the nose, Blue Label offers waves of honey, vanilla, dried fruits, orange zest, and delicate wisps of peat smoke. The palate is exceptionally smooth and layered, revealing hazelnuts, rich toffee, dark chocolate, sherry sweetness, and ripe orchard fruits, balanced by gentle spice and a subtle smoky character. The finish is long, velvety, and elegant, with lingering notes of cocoa, oak, sweet spice, and soft maritime smoke.
While the Mexico City 2220 edition is highly collectible for its futuristic artwork, the tasting experience remains that of the classic Blue Label profile: rich, complex, and remarkably refined.
