Synonymous with "Amarone", Bertani represents not only the most important winery in Valpolicella but also one of the most prestigious and well-known wineries in all of Italy. A story that begins very far away, exactly in 1857, with the foundation of the cellar by the brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani. The latter came from a long period of learning spent at the school of the great Professor Guyot, in France. Bertani Amarone is certainly one of the most respected and prestigious, award winning numerous awards and the loyalty of many lovers of fine wine.
An intense red color with ruby highlights. Hints of redcurrants, blackberries and cocoa powder on the nose, together with spicy notes of black pepper, cloves and nutmeg. On the palate a pleasant flavor of red fruit, sour cherries, concentrated cherry and black tea, followed by fine, powdery tannins with a coffee bean finish. It is a plush wine with good weight and the typical complexity of mature vineyards, though still young and vibrant.
