Chateau Barrabaque

The 10-hectare vineyard that is located on the slopes overlooking the Dordogne river is directly south-facing. Barrabaque is located on the two AC’s of Fronsac and Canon-Fronsac. The cultural and vinification methods combine both tradition and modern techniques: vines that are tilled according to the particular terroir, hand-picked harvest on the slopes, careful sorting of the harvest, temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing in oak barrels.

Deep color, violet tints in its youth. The nose explodes with black fruit with spices when young moving on to red fruit notes and then truffles over time. Lovely aromatic complexity. Suave attack, the wine is “gourmand” in the mouth. The tannins are fine-grained and elegant that present a wine that is very ample and well-balanced.
