Five Hundered Cuts Cherry and Dark Chocolate

Brewdog Distilling Five Hundred Cuts Cherry & Dark Chocolate is a spiced spirit drink, made from Caribbean molasses. It is produced by the Scottish distillery Brewdog, opened in 2016 in Aberdeenshire by Brewdog James Watt and Martin Dickie.

The molasses is fermented for 7 days with wine yeast, to be then distilled in the two copper pot stills. The first part of the rum is used as a base for maceration with tonka beans and spices, while the other is distilled again with orange peel, green cardamom, Sichuan pepper and cloves. The rums are then combined and enhanced with a little muscovado sugar, up to 8 grams per litre. Finally, a maceration of cherries and cocoa beans is added.
