The Johnnie Walker Oldest 75cl is one of the most historically important bottles ever produced by Johnnie Walker, representing the direct predecessor to the now world-famous Blue Label. First introduced in 1987 as an ultra-premium duty-free exclusive, Oldest was created using some of the rarest and most mature whiskies held within the company's reserves, many distilled decades earlier and selected to recreate the style of John Walker's finest nineteenth-century blends. In 1992, the expression was renamed Johnnie Walker Blue Label, making every bottle of Oldest an essential piece of Johnnie Walker history.

Unlike later Blue Label releases, the early Oldest bottlings proudly stated that the blend contained whiskies ranging from approximately 15 to 60 years of age, a statement that disappeared after the first few batches before the Blue Label name was introduced. Bottled at 43% ABV and presented in the elegant cream and navy packaging seen here, this 75cl Duty Free edition embodies the transition between traditional luxury Scotch whisky and the modern Blue Label identity that would become recognised worldwide.

The whisky itself is renowned for its exceptional smoothness and remarkable depth, delivering layers of honey, dried fruits, polished oak, soft smoke, citrus peel, gentle spice and dark chocolate.
