The John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2016 Edition – Fine Honeyed Notes is the third release in the highly acclaimed Private Collection series, created by Master Blender Dr. Jim Beveridge as an exploration of one of the most elegant flavour dimensions found within Scotland's finest whiskies. Following the smoky profile of the 2014 edition and the fruit-driven character of the 2015 release, the 2016 expression celebrates the delicate richness of honeyed grain whisky. Limited to 8,888 individually numbered crystal decanters, this release further strengthened the reputation of the Private Collection as one of the world's most prestigious annual whisky series.

The blend was constructed from more than 100 carefully selected casks, making it the most complex Private Collection release produced up to that point. At its heart are exceptionally mature single grain whiskies drawn from Cameronbridge together with precious reserves from the silent grain distilleries Caledonian, Cambus, Carsebridge, and Port Dundas. These rare grain whiskies were married with selected Highland single malts to create a whisky of remarkable elegance, where layers of honey sweetness, soft fruit, creamy texture and gentle oak are perfectly balanced without overwhelming the blend's refined character.

Presented in an elegant crystal-style decanter housed inside a beautifully crafted wood-effect presentation case, the 2016 Edition reflects the importance of craftsmanship both inside and outside the bottle. Unlike conventional limited editions that rely primarily on decorative packaging, the Private Collection series is built around innovative blending concepts that can never be reproduced.
