Viña Vik is a Chilean wine producer, located in the Cachapoal Valley. The company was founded in 2004, by Norwegian entrepreneurs Carrie Vik and Alex Vik. Vik vineyards are located amongst the foothills of the Andes mountains and are planted across 12 small valleys creating multiple microclimates and terroirs. 808 acres (327 ha) of company vineyards are grown there to a combination of international grape varieties. Located between the Pacific Ocean and the snow-topped mountains, year-round cool temperatures allows for grapes to ripen whilst retaining acidity levels.

The Piu Belle 2015 elegantly shows the new face of Carmenere. Aromas of blackberries combine with ripe plums and fine spices delivering freshness. Notes of blue flowers, violets, and lavender unfurl in the glass like the cool sea breezes which nightly sweep the vineyards. Vivid and precise, dynamic tannins mark the mid-palate. Bright acidity gives the wine an almost endless finish. Twenty-four months of aging in French oak marries flavors of blue fruits with nuances of rich coffee and mocha.
