In the high planes of Dingli, there is a small boutique winery patiently nurturing exquisite grapes. Markus Divinus is dedicated to producing wines that represent Malta’s agricultural heritage and embodying the Maltese essence. From the soil where the vineyards grow to the wood of the barrels – every detail is featured in this equation. The resulting bottles bring a complexity of flavors and undertones, rich colors, and a singular smell.

This wine is dedicated to the winemaker's mum, who totally represents this rustic elegant style. It offers hints of cloves and candied orange peel. The palate is soft, slightly jammy and voluptuous, smooth and  rounded to the very end. The tannins have a nice grip that pull on the sides of your mouth. The acidity feels like a squirt of lemon, it adds a juicy, bright quality and balances out the sweetness and richness. The blend of the Cabernet and Sangiovese is a match made in heaven, a surprising and delightful to be cellared for a few more years, if you have the time to wait until the wine evolves.
