Ron Barceló Imperial Mizunara Cask

Ron Barceló is a premium rum producer that was founded 1929 and entirely produced in the Dominican Republic, in line with the designation of origin requirements. Uniquely different because it's made not from molasses, like most rum, but from 100% sugarcane juice that comes from the company’s own plantations in San Pedro de Macorís, and fermented, distilled, and aged in the Dominican Republic. This commitment to quality ensures that only the best and most brilliant sugar cane goes into Barceló Rum.

Barceló Imperial Mizunara Cask, part of the exceptional Rare Blends Collection of Barceló rums, is born from the nectar of the finest selection of Dominican sugar cane. It is the result of aging the reserves of Barceló most precious rums in oak barrels with different degrees of toast, carefully selected by Barceló expert master coopers. Once the blend is achieved, Mizunara Cask is aged in virgin Japanese oak barrels to provide the complexity and unique flavor that distinguishes this exuberant rum. Intense pale amber color with coppery glints. Its trace on the inside of the glass, draws moderate tears. Its aroma is of toasted wood, accompanied by vanilla, complex notes of sandalwood, coconut and ginger. The palate combines the memories perceived on the nose, woody and mellow. A long finish, subtly spicy and dry.

Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or chilled in a short glass of rum. Perfect with fine cigars, aged cheeses, elegant desserts, dark chocolate and select cuts of red meat.
